ST. BERNARD?S CHILDREN?S SERVICES
REQUIRED SOCIAL CARE LEADER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
St. Bernard?s is a voluntary therapeutic children?s residential
service which provides a unique and dedicated service to children of
mixed gender from the age seven to eleven years of age on admission.
The service is based in Co. Tipperary.
We are recruiting a Social Care Leader to join our trained and
experienced social care team. We are looking for enthusiastic,
competent and energetic staff to join us in the task of providing
therapeutic care to children.
Social Care Leader salary scale applies plus premium payments for
unsocial hours.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* A qualification at degree level on the National Framework of
Qualifications in Social Care. Qualifications considered as a related
and a relevant field are: Degree in Psychology, Child and Adolescent
Psychotherapy, Youth and Community Work, Social Work and Social
Sciences.
* Minimum of three years relevant post qualification, preferably in
a children?s residential service.
* Current full clean driver?s license
* Complete Garda Vetting on application
* Child Centered approach to social care practice
* Understanding of child development and attachment informed
practice
* Available for a variety of shifts over a 7-day roster (mornings,
evenings and nights)
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
* Relevant experience in a Children?s Residential Care
* Supervisory experience.
